Heather could feel herself getting excited as she put on make up. It was past six and almost dinnertime. The party was to start at eight on the dot. Two guys had called this week and asked her out and she had told both that she didn't want to go out without anyone until after her week-long camping trip, but she had really passed on them because she was hoping to find someone special at the party.

She had finished the call with Jared as quickly as she could. She hurriedly called Maddie right away to tell her about Jared.

"Heather, you have to find some other guy! You can't come by yourself and I have everything planned for six couples. Get on the phone and start calling!"
