... you? I hope they have been behaving," Geoff joked with her. "They are both gentlemen, but a few days at home alone will be good," she answered seriously, "I'm quite looking forward to some me time actually." "I know Drew is so looking forward to having Dave here full time," Geoff replied. "And Dave is looking forward to being here next weekend on his own. Drew has to deliver sheep again," Tess said. "Hey I just realized, if Dave's here to feed the dog and watch things I might just get a lift to the city with Drew and have a bit of a gay weekend. It will be my last chance to get away for a couple of months," Geoff pondered. "What a good idea, Dave will be a good care taker. Take advantage of him while you can. You could bunk on our couch if you like," Tess offered. "Oh no, I don't want you and Drew cramping my style. I have a little hotel I stay in, that will do me just fine. Thanks all the same," was the reply. Drew was in the kitchen finalizing his preparation when he heard a vehicle coming up the drive. He went out the front door and down the steps to the gate as Barry parked his SUV in the shade of a tree. "Hello and welcome," he greeted the family as they piled out of the truck. "Hi Drew. "Well come on through the house, it such a nice day I thought we'd eat on the veranda," Drew said, "Lunch is just about ready." Barry picked up his cooler with the drinks for his family in it and in the other hand carried a bag with the babies supplies. Janet carried the infant. Drew ushered them through the house and then there were introductions all round on the veranda. Drinks were poured and then Geoff assisted Drew in carving one of the legs and the loin of the spit roasted lamb. They then retrieved the potatoes and corn from the fire pit and it was all presented on a large platter next to the salads. Everyone sat around the table and ate. Drew was most impressed with the manners the young boys were displaying and complimented their parents on it. It was a lovely lunch, plenty of food, drinks and conversation in the warm fresh air. The boys asked to be excused from the table and if it would be okay to go off and explore the farm. Geoff and Dave took the spit inside and broke the left overs down in to more manageable sized pieces and placed it into the refrigerator. Tess and Drew sat talking to the guests. "How did you guys meet?" Janet asked. Drew told her the story of Tess and Dave hitting the kangaroo on the highway and spending the week with him and how he had spent weekends at their apartment. Janet and Barry listened with interest as the story was related. "We just hit it off. We ...
