Cat nearly jumped pressing her face to the grate and kissing her girlfriend through the sharp metal, a pain neither of which would worry with too much at the moment. "Alright," Noelle said, withdrawing from the kiss earlier than Cat was ready for. "Let's get you out of here." As hard as she tried, Noelle could not lift the grate and couldn't see anything to break or release the lock. Cat looked around her surroundings as well, but couldn't find anything either. "Sweetie..." Noelle said, readying her rifle. "Cover your ears and move away from this grate!" The redhead did as she was told, diving into the corner once again as Noelle levelled the weapon on her injured shoulder, the adrenaline still out-weighing the pain. With a single shot, the metal lock exploded, and the girls rejoiced, using their combined strength to lift the grate. Noelle reached in and pulled the redhead out like she was made of paper, the two rolling on the ground for a few moments crying and kissing, un-able to find the words for how either of them felt in this moment. They climbed out of the rubble filled area and headed near the bridge. "I thought you were dead, Noey!" Cat practically screamed. "You were gone, and the killer showed up and-" "Kitty ...
... Cat..." Noelle said with a small smile, dropping the gun so she could hold her chin, "I promised you I would come back didn't I? The two girls smashed their faces together so hard that there were legitimate fears of chipped teeth as they tried to swallow one another, crying and kissing, and holding each other tight. And the unthinkable happened. "Cat..." Noelle said softly, her voice feeling nearly hoarse from all the yelling. "Will you marry me?" The redhead nearly exploded, jumping up and down as they girls reached for the ring so it could be exchanged and fit on her slim finger. "Yes! Yesyesyesyesyes!" Noelle grinned and held her tight once more for a deep kiss, their fingers entwining and the newly ringed finger fitting perfectly between Noelle's ring and pinkie fingers. The two were so enthralled in the moment that they didn't even realize that they weren't alone any longer. Pulling apart, Noelle looked up and saw their tormentor standing nearly twenty feet away, intently staring at them from behind Nate's eye sockets. Just as Noelle reached for the gun on the ground, the killer started to sprint and the girls just bolted, leaving the gun behind as they raced through the thick trees. The killer did not slow down at all, but Noelle was starting to lag. The nightmare experience had drained her, and now the shooting pain in her shoulder was filling her entire side, and every step made it even worse. Cat wasn't having any trouble, but with each ...
