Jim was determined to find out more about the so-called second type of special assignments. "Sorry to change the subject," he said, "but you still haven't told us the other type of assignment is."

Rose paused, looking for the right words. "The second type of special assignment has three components. Firstly, like the first type, it serves a JH&P business objective, either directly or indirectly. Although the people at Maurice's party were strangers to you at the time, they were well known to us as our clients."

"Secondly, the persons who you may have sex with are not clients," she said emphasizing the word 'not'. "You will be faced with situations where you are expected to have sex with true strangers. While we do our best to learn as much as we can about these people, there is always the possibility of unexpected behaviours and/or unpredictable situations."

Sarah and Jim glanced at each other.

"That lead us to the third component," Rose said, taking a deep breath, "risk. You showed adaptability at Maurice's party but it was basically a controlled situation involving known and trusted individuals. In the second type of special assignment, the persons you may be involved with are acting as their own agents. A lot depends on your ability and willingness to adapt to a situation when it turns problematic."

Rose continued. "I know you've heard this before. All assignments are voluntary. All the information available will be provided before you decide to accept such an assignment. If you volunteer, all resources are available to you. If you decline and no one else accepts the special assignment, we turn it down and express our regrets to the client."

Sarah seemed confused. "If it's all voluntary, what makes you think we would participate in a risky assignment?"

Rose smiled. "Your psychological profiles, they suggest you two are highly sexed and open to sexual thrills and adventures, characteristics which all LLP members share, at least in their younger years. It's deeply ingrained in your and our characters. You are only now just discovering them. You did go a party with no idea of who would attend or what they would do. Remember?"

The Coxwells looked sheepishly at each other. She was telling the truth.

"So, how do these special assignments happen?" Sarah asked.

She turned to her husband. "Marc, this more your area."
