"Baby. Baby, stop." I ran my thumb over her cheek and made her look at me. "First, You're not a terrible person. You're the best person I know, and besides, everyone is a little fucked up. Second, I would break every plate in this house and deal with Mom's wrath if that was the price I had to pay to be inside you just once more." She chuckled at that and my relief was short-lived because I knew what I had to tell her next. "Third, you're not going to get pregnant, because I can't have kids. I wouldn't have taken that risk."

"What do you mean you can't have kids?" she asked motioning to herself as exhibit A.

"You're not mine. So, us fucking isn't even as wrong as you thought."

"I'm not your daughter?"

"Well Baby, you're my daughter. I raised you and I've loved you your whole life, but I'm not your biological father. Aaaaand if it helps ease your conscience, the man who is, is probably fucking your mother as we speak." She looked at me completely shocked and confused. "So, see, you aren't even the most fucked up person in this house."
