Back from shopping just after 7 PM, the girls were exhausted when they came in and saw their dad watching football on his big screen TV. They said hello and that they would be right down once they put their shopping bags away. Dad followed them up the stairs, keeping his distance to watch their faces when they saw his handiwork from earlier in the day.

When the girls carried the shopping bags up to Jenny's room, they stared in surprise at the changes. Gone were Jenny's video games and any male-related items. Everything was removed from his dresser, including his golf trophies and ribbons.

Jenny stood in shock with tears in her eyes when reality hit home. This seemed to shake him to his core. The new room made him face his new reality, and realized that beyond dressing like a girl, he was expected to be one, at least for the summer.

... replaced with large posters of Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, girl heartthrob Christopher Briney, and the Barbie Movie poster.

"How do you like your new room, Jenny? I worked on it all morning and got some help from Bed Bath and Beyond, on what a teenage girl would like. I hope you like it," Brock said smiling as Millie gave him a troubling look. She didn't understand the depth of Brock's commitment until now.

Also gone were the drab curtains with new Pink Flowered Lace curtains that Brock purchased earlier in the day at Walmart, and put them up himself before they came home from their shopping trip.

Gone were any images of a boys' room, and now only the makings of a girls' room remained. Soon, all the boy clothes in the closet and drawers would be gone as well.

"Dad, what did you do with my video games?"

"Jenny, you'll be too busy to be playing silly games. Besides, video games are for boys, I want you to spend your free time learning how to sew, cook, and do all those other girly things, which includes helping your mom with the house work. Being a girl is not all fun and play, you'll learn that soon enough. Now, I spent all day on this, so, how about a thank you for your dear old dad for making your bedroom into your very own feminine sanctuary."

Millie gave Jenny a knowing glare and the message was clear. Thank your daddy unless you want more punishment.
