... herself to fall into line with Mickey's proposal and tried her hardest to play the loving partner. Mickey made a point to ensure that she had little contact with anyone except his family or close trusted friends. One thing she did note, he appeared to make sure that Lucas and herself were never left alone. She did wonder if he knew that Lucas was as deep into trying to get the SD card as she was. She kept thinking about the SD card too. There was something about that night that he showed her the contents that was bugging her. It's like there was a significant thing that occurred but, she couldn't quite draw it from her memory. During one of Lucas' visits to the house she collected the coffee cups from Mickey's office and noted a small piece of plasticised paper in Luca's cup when she reached the kitchen. She looked at it and it had a simple message:

'What was on the SD card and where is it.'

She wrote a reply on a piece of paper and managed to drop it into Lucas' jacket pocket when she brought them a fresh cup of coffee.

"Will sink the Royal Family, don't know where it is yet."

When Lucas read it, he had an idea what it may now be associated with. There were some whispers around the Government about a senior member of the Royal Family having got themselves into an unpleasant predicament but, this was purported to be within the last few weeks. Were they connected, he wondered?

... now walk short distances, without a stick but, he knew he would have a limp for the rest of his life. He still suffered from sporadic headaches that were severe enough for him to want to do no more than lay in a darkened room. He did go with Ann, to meet Graham's wife, for a tearful reunion. Matt promised to provide any help, if she ever needed it. As they drove back up to London, Matt called Lance.

"Lance, can I ask for something that will mean a lot to me, possibly give me closure. I don't know what you are planning to do, as retribution over the death of Mark but, I'd like to play an active part. If you need me to come and beg, I will but, I owe it to myself, Mark and Graham to see proper justice served."

"The funny thing Matt, is this has come up in our own conversations here. We think we can give you that opportunity. It gives a credible story of someone hiring a security firm to do some dirty work if it goes horribly wrong. Come down next week and we can discuss it."

There was a slight pause.

"I gather you are with Ann?"

"Yes, we are together. I hope that's OK with you. Ann's with me now, in the car".

"I'm glad that's the case. What happened between us is simply history now. If you're happy to do it, will the pair of you come and have dinner with me and my family after our meeting."

Matt looked at Ann and she nodded.

"If you're wife's ok with that, yes, we'd be happy to join you."
