"You prepared to work with me?" He asked.

"All right, you want me to be honest. I will work with you. I was hoping you would take the money and run. Daisy, however loves you, I can see that. Yes, I'll work with you, but if you do anything to hurt her. We'll be done."

He nodded, and finished his coffee. "What about what happened. Does that stay in the past or are you going to hang that over me to get what you want?"

"It's in the past. Think about it Jeremy. I'm as guilty as you at this moment. If I don't report you, then I could be charged with being an accessory after the fact, or obstructing justice."

Daisy smiled, and I felt her hand squeezing my leg under the table. "Deal, it's all yours big bro."

"Jesus, fuck me. I can't believe we're doing this. Okay, I'm in."

Daisy leaned over the table and kissed me. "Thank you baby. I love you so much for keeping our family home, and my family together."

"It's going to be our family. Wow, we're going to be a family."

"Who are we going to invite to the wedding?" She asked.

"Whoa, slow down. I'm fucking starving." Jeremy announced. "I need to eat, then you girls can talk about all that shit alone. I don't want to hear about it."

"You have to give me away." Daisy said with a teasing smile.

It left me a little uncomfortable having Jeremy around, but Daisy was happy. She had what was left of her family back. To his credit, Jeremy was good with the land, and actually put together some plans for crop planting, where to build the chicken coop.
