... in mine. I squeezed tighter than ever. "I know that babe. I never meant to infer anything."
She stepped into my hug, and our mouths collided. Our emotions flowing into our kiss.
"Daisy, I actually had a different solution in mind. I just didn't know how you'd feel about it."
"Oh." She said, her head buried wetly in the side of my neck. Her cute little sniffles being wiped on my skin. "Do tell."
"Well, my divorce will be final at the end off the month."
She stepped back, her hands sliding back into mine. "What are you trying to say?"
"I want to marry you. It would solve everything." I gushed, hoping she felt the same.
"Married." Was that horror, shock, or amazement on her face.
"Yes, Daisy. I want you to be my partner."
"Married..." She whispered again. Her face changing before my eyes. The shock dissolving into a wide smile. "Yes, oh god... Married. Yes I would love that."
"You're sure? You sounded unsure."

... promise we will go somewhere that our marriage would be legally recognized. The full thing, a church, reception everything."
"New Zealand recognizes same sex marriage. Lucky devils."
"Then that's where we'll go. I hear it's nice." I replied.
We hugged and kissed. Our joy turning to passion. Our clothes vanishing. Her nakedness pressed forcefully against me.
With dinner still sitting on the bench. We cuddled together on the bed. "Can we wait till the house is painted, and we finish cleaning the gardens?" She asked. Her voice full of expectancy.
"Yes, I have enough to cover the exterior renovations, and more actually. We should fix up all the fences down the driveway. Make it more appealing."
"I talked to the farmer up the road. He asked if he could graze some cattle in our pastures."
"Perfect, they will eat the long grass down, and that'll save us some money."
"He was willing to pay for the privilege. That's how it works."
Surprised, I giggled stupidly. "Awesome, see. We learn something every day. "I did not know that."
Every weekend I spent with Daisy working on the house. With the building repairs finished we were left to start work on the painting. Of course we couldn't tackle the whole project. The upstairs was to difficult.
We could do all of the lower ground floor.
My divorce paperwork arrived in the mail, and I was free to wed Daisy. It meant a concerted effort to tidy up around the house. Prepare it for the ceremony.
There was one ...
