... somebody?" I mumbled, already imagining it in my head. The barn was enormous, and it seemed sturdy. Maybe it would be possible?

Back home in my apartment. Feeling a little overwhelmed. I started to ponder my current situation. At no point in my life had I ever acted like this. My decisions were rational, well thought out. Planned might be a bit cold, but. That's why I had been mildly successful with my career.
My life got turned upside down after the blasted kidnapping. Now, I was like a crazy out of control teenager. Acting solely on impulse. Rash bursts of capricious impetuosity.
Daisy... Her image appeared in my mind. I felt my heart beat speed up, just the thought of her made me squishy and tingly. Closing my eyes, I could almost feel her, smell her. She affected me so deeply. My impulsiveness was all about her.
I hated being away from her. When I went to bed, it felt empty without her body to snuggle. In the morning, I yearned to hold her, talk to her. I felt alone without her.
To get past it, I invited friends for dinners. Went out with them. Anything to distract me. Hah, what a joke. Out with my friends, all I did was text back and forth with Daisy. My friends all teasing me about a new boyfriend.
It made me feel odd. I was embarrassed to say it was a woman, but having that secret gave me goosebumps. It felt so naughty.
There was no escaping it. I was in love, head over heels madly in love.

The work started in earnest. The ...
... builder did know an architect who specialized in old farm building conversions. The costs were scary, but I agreed for him to prepare some simple sketches. If It was going to happen. We would need a mortgage.
Of course that brought into focus how I could do it when I didn't even own it. I felt awkward and nervous raising it with Daisy, but it had to happen.
The following weekend, we spent the whole of Saturday working on cleaning out the barn. A scrap metal merchant had come during the week and taken all of the stuff he was interested in. It gave us a little financial boost. It was going to cover the architects initial drawings.
In the middle of preparing dinner. I decided I could wait no longer. "Daisy, I have to talk to you about something."
I guess my anxious tone caught her attention. "Okay, this sounds ominous."
"We need a mortgage."
"I know that." She answered nervously.
"I can't raise a mortgage because I don't own the property. You can't get one because you can't afford the repayments."
"I know." She sighed. "I figured at some point we'd get to this point. I've been to scared to talk to you about it in case you freaked and walked away."
"I'm not walking away." I said trying to sound reassuring. Her anxiety was sharper than mine. "We just have to find a way to do it. I wondered about a contract. Some form of shared ownership?"
She nodded sadly. "Yes, we could do that. I wasn't trying to rip you off you know that right?"
Grabbing her hands ...
