    ... fight it.

I filed the divorce paperwork, sighting infidelity.

Weekends found me driving around New Jersey trying to pinpoint the farm. I had a few on my list, but didn't want to bring any attention towards Daisy.

After two months, I was about to give up. In Eaton town, New Jersey. I wandered through Monmouth Mall. I was at the stage of walking away from my search. Having picked up a some personal hygiene items from the Target grocery section.

I was headed for the check out when I heard the voice. I knew straight away who it was. I loitered around the stands close to her check out. Stunned, I looked at her for the first time. I knew it was her. Not just the voice, but mannerisms. All I needed now was the eyes.

I moved into the line on her check out. Waiting. I watched as she interacted with the women in front of me. Pleasant, conversational. I waited, okay, I wasn't exactly patient. My nerves frayed, I felt the perspiration chilling on the back of my neck. My hands clammy.

Finally, I was there, she started waving my items through the scanner, then looked up. "How are y..." Her eyes met mine, and the color drained from her face. I watched as she staggered back, grabbing the counter trying to hold herself upright.

    "Sasha." She spluttered falteringly.

A manager came rushing to her rescue as she tried to regain composure. "Whoa... You okay Daisy?" She asked.

"Yes, fine, I just came over flushed all of a sudden." Daisy replied. Her eyes glancing up to ...
... catch mine, anxiety eating her.

"Nice to see you Daisy, How's Jeremy?" I asked.

"Um... Fine." She mumbled glancing at the manager. "You?"

"Very well thanks. I'm back at work. You know things are going okay."

"Good." She said nervously. "That'll be twenty three dollars and ten cents thank you."

    "Will cash be okay?"

She nodded, and I handed over the money. "What time do you finish work?"

She grimaced, her face full of tension. "Six tonight."

"Would you like to have dinner?"

"What?" Her voice went up a notch, full of fear, she sounded like a squeaky mouse.

"Dinner, I want to have dinner with you. I think we should talk."

"Okay, um yeah. That'd be okay I guess."

    "Should I meet you here?"

"Out front." She said quickly. Her eyes zooming around checking out who was listening, watching. "Is this a trap?"

"I'm here by myself. All I want to do is talk, okay?"

    "Yeah, okay."

Three hours is a long time, when you are as tense as I was. I wandered aimlessly around the mall. Finally, it was time.

I watched her walk out. She moved uncomfortably. Her head twisting and turning as she tried to see if I had been lying, and it was a trap.

"How have you been Daisy?" I asked as she came to stand in front of me.

"I've been better. What do you want Sasha?" She said with a pouty irritated glare.

"Dinner, I'm starving. Where would you suggest?"

"The olive garden is nice, but so very expensive." She said tersely.

    "Sounds good."

    "I don't ...
