... Carly wanted. Simple, and perfect. Just like her. I put nurse practitioner school on hold so we wouldn't be as stressed as Carly went through law school, and just like I thought she would, she knocked it out of the park. She's a senior partner now, and with Susan looking to retire, she'll probably take over as managing partner for the Houston branch of the firm. It's been 15 years now since we met. Anyone that tells you that it's all been sunshine and rainbows ever since is lying, but I will say that we've grown together and our love is stronger now than it ever has been. Carly's mom eventually moved down to Texas to be closer to us, and Carly is extremely close with her. We talked about adopting a child for a few years, and ultimately decided that we would just spoil our nieces and nephews, with Julie getting married and having two of each. She still surprises me every day, lifts me up when I'm down, and is a force to be reckoned with in the bedroom. She's smart, talented, and beautiful as she always was. She's my entire world, and to say that the planets were aligned when Carly exploded into my world is an understatement. And a fact for which I will forever be grateful.
