With a chuckle, Beth responded, "Yeah, I know. But it's you that I love and married."

"Oh I know, but I just found it curious. Speaking of curiosity, how did this go on for so long without Aunt Cathy finding out?"

"Well, that's the other part of this secret...she knew."

"And she was ok with this?"

"I think it was her idea."

Trying to act cool but at the same time totally freaked out as I calmly encouraged her to expand on this.

"You see, Uncle Bill and Aunt Cathy were both very close to me. I would have a girl talk with her from time to time because I didn't feel comfortable talking to Mom about boys. One day I mentioned how sex for me seemed subpar compared to what I thought it should be and she explained the difference between inexperienced boys and the touch of a skilled lover typically found in older men. It's a long story but she eventually offered Uncle Bill to show me the ropes and I took her up on it. It took some convincing on her part but he eventually got on board."

"And it became more than a one-and-done?"

"Well, it was really good for me, and he and Aunt Cathy liked it."

"Wait, Aunt Cathy was involved?"

"Not like that. She liked to watch sometimes," Beth paused to consider how much to share, "The most involved she got was she guided him into me the first time to show both of us that she fully endorsed this activity."

"OK, this is new information. ...

... Not sure I was ready for that one. Hold on, are there any other little details of this magnitude out there?"

"Nope, that pretty much covers it," she said sounding a little ashamed.

"Look, I didn't mean anything negative, just surprised. I mean, Aunt Cathy's still alive. I just can't imagine that she watched, assisted, and helped or whatever you and Uncle Bill and was just ok with all of this."

"More than ok...I think it was her kink."

I let that last word hang not sure how to grapple with what I just heard. I was sure I would have more questions but for now, I needed a break. I took a few more sips of my coffee as did Beth. She asked if I was still ok which of course I was, just still processing. But, she wasn't done.

"You know Bobbie," Back to my pet name, "As I'm reliving this in my mind, there is something very familiar today to something from 30 years ago."

"And what would that be my love," I said trying to be affectionate.

"How close we are to Milly."

"How close we are to Milly," I repeated. This is a trick I've learned over the years when you don't want to react but need to respond. Repeating the last statement causes the speaker to elaborate.

"Yeah, I mean similar to how close I was to Uncle Bill and Aunt Cathy, Milly has a very similar relationship to us."

"To us. Like she is confiding to you about her sexual activities?"

"She has. We have talked a lot about that."

"I didn't even realize she was sexually active."

"Come on Bobbie! ...
