... show my father I can do this college thing. Then, I will get my car back and transfer to a real school. "Damn, so I'm just a placeholder friend?" Mark says to Rosa as the bus pulls up; she doesn't reply to his comment, just boards the bus. Rosa sits down in the chair, and Mark chooses to stand. "What are you doing?" "I'm taking a stand." "Sit." Rosa catches herself from getting too loud. "Sit down," she says calmly. "Nah, I'm good." "See, this is what I meant, boys," Rosalind says, pointing down at the seat. Mark leans in closer to her as the bus takes off. "I am not a dog," Mark says. "Mark wouldn't be a good name for a dog," Rosalind says, looking up at him. "Let me guess, Nick was a good name." Rosalind furrowed her eyebrow at the mention of the name of her ex-boyfriend "Can you please not mention that asshole's name in my presence?" "Alright, Rosy." "Don't. Don't call me Rosy." She ignores him and scrolls through her phone. Mark takes the hint and moves to put his headphones on. "It was fine," Rosalind says, putting her phone down. Mark looks at his headphones and then back at her. "Just fine?" "Yeah, just," Rosalind says, and then he stares off into space. "God, you are so dramatic." "Excuse me!" "What is wrong?" "I need a freaking job!" Rosalind says, slamming her phone to reveal a job search app." I've been looking at these damn jobs for days now, and I can find anything." She says, putting her hands on her head in frustration. "I think I have a j." "I am not bagging groceries or pushing Chiquitas through the cash register for a living." "It's a start." "beneath me." "Benea..Everyday Earth is...What am I doing right now." "See what I mean? You sound like a broken human being." "I was broke before every day and will most likely be broke after every day." "Sure." "Do you even have work experience?" "Being rich is the work experience, Mark." "Your dead ass serious right now isn't you." "Of course I am." Mark starts laughing at her comment. "Are you blind, your ride the fucking train, with me of all people? You go to Key Art Institute. KAI!" "Your point." "My point is that your father is rich, your mama is rich, ...
