As my world tumbled I looked up to see My one real constant Staring at me I blinked my eyes And the tears escaped How could he have known Was it fate He came to me Took my hand Pulled me from The crater I was in He held me tight Assured me all would be alright He loved my pieces As he'd always done My first love Had come back home Our love still there Like it was never broken I stand here this morning Watching the world come alive In the arms of a man Who continued to fight For the girl of his past Amazing how a love can last Through hurt and years Through heartache and tears Now my world full of love When push came to shove My cowboy always near Who knew we'd be here Standing together again Where our love began
