Michelle was cruising down the highway with the top down on her car, singing at the top of her lungs to the feminist tone of the Beyonce hit song, Single Ladies. It was a song that she had recently adopted as her anthem after she left her boyfriend of three years. It was liberating to walk away from someone after years of on and off again chances, ultimately deciding not to waste anymore time on the relationship going nowhere. Michelle pushed her shades to sit on top of her disheveled curls and smiled at the attendant behind the counter. “Hi, which way to the ladies' room?” she inquired. The young man smiled back, “Down the auto repair aisle, after the motor oil display." "Thank you," she said as she followed his directions. Nathan sat up straighter in his chair, leaning over the counter to watch as the girl walked down the aisle. He whistled to himself, admiring the view.
