... collapsed on the bed laughing. “Lets have a shower” Jane said. “Ok” I said “But it will be just a shower as I am knackered” We showered together and both took turns soaping and rinsing each other off. After drying ourselves and getting dressed we went downstairs for a coffee and chat. We both agreed that we had enjoyed ourselves but the small talk felt a little awkward now so I said I had better be off. Jane walked me to the front door, picked up the money I had left on the hall table and tried to give it to me. “I can’t take this,” she said. “You can and you will,” I said. Gently pushing her hand away. She smiled and said thanks. “But next time, and I DO want a next time, it will be free” she said. I look forward the next social event we both attend and wonder how we will look each other in the eye.
