My pelvic exam is broken up into three parts because each part is so different. The first part of it is my rectal exam & radiology studies of my lower colon. The second part is my bladder exam & x-rays of my bladder. The last part is my vaginal exam & ultrasound. I was told to give myself an enema before I came so I would be clean for the rectal exam. I'll be using a light with a special lens to take a close look at your anus and perineum. She started by injecting a bunch of lubricant into my butt with a syringe for the procedures and slowly inserted her middle finger to spread the lubricant around in my bottom & coat the walls.
