... found her apartment and knocked on the door. The door opened and I saw Lucy standing there, half-dressed in only her skirt and bra. "Come on in, I'll just be a minute. I'm just getting dressed now," she said. I stepped inside and she shut the door, latching it as a matter of habit. "Make yourself at home, I'll be right out!" I watched her as she walked back into the bedroom then sat on the couch to wait for her. The apartment was tastefully decorated - not cluttered, but not minimalistic either. It had a few nice pieces and I could tell that Lucy had good taste in art and decor. A few minutes later, she came out from the bedroom. She was incredible and as I watched her approach, I got the strangest feeling in the pit of my stomach. My heart skipped a beat, and I could swear my panties started getting wet! "Wow!" I said, as she came into the room, "You look amazing!" "Thanks," she said, smiling. "So where are we going?" "Well, I thought we could start with a little driving around and showing you some of the high points and how to get around this town a little. I liked that he had his buddies to spend time with, and I didn't want to be one of those clingy types that guys eventually hate. So I let him have his nights out with the boys, and I would stay home and wait for him to come home so I could ask him if he had a good time. But his nights out got to be more and more frequent, and last longer and longer. Pretty soon, it was as if we weren't married at all, we just happened to take up space in the same apartment. I started getting on him about it, telling him that I needed a little attention too. Well he took it as nagging, and the fighting began. He wouldn't hit me or anything - he never did that. But we broke more than one dish and the apartment needed some drywall work before we left it. And we had to replace the bedroom door after he punched a hole in it during one of our fights. Anyway, we finally realized neither of us were happy, and we decided to part ways after only five years of marriage. That was about seven months ago. I stayed in Boise for about a month after the divorce - I'm from there originally, and lived there all my life until I moved here. But after running into all the places we used to go together, it got too hard to stay there. I needed a change. So I came here to Houston to make a new start," she explained. I listened to Lucy as she talked and I began to see another side of her. Not just the office co-worker ...
