Ashley and Molly were planning the wedding. Both girls were serving in infantry units at Schofield Barracks. They were each combat photographers. They had been trained to got out in the field with regular troops and record the history going on around them. Not only did they know how to use still cameras, but they also could use various kinds of video equipment. So they were planning the pictures for the wedding. It was going to be a ceremony uniting Private Ashley Lovall and Staff Sergeant Jacob Anderson. They had fallen in love here in Hawaii. Their marriage was still to be approved by their commanders. Jacob knew his captain would give the okay soon. The paperwork was sitting on his desk now. But Ashley had been special to her. That evening Jacob picked up Ashley and they went out to eat. It was a Sunday and both would be on duty in the morning. Both were anxious to have their future plans set. They should find out this week if there was a problem with their paperwork. Jacob was certain that his was fine but Ashley was concerned about hers. The last time she saw Captain Billings he hadn't seemed friendly at all. But they forgot about all of that. After they finished dinner they went back to Ashley's apartment. Molly was out with a male friend. They would be alone. It was warm out and so Ashley was wearing a summer dress and some sandals. Jacob had on a Hawaiian print shirt and some khaki pants and sandals. They both got some drinks from the kitchen and then turned on some music and sat down on the sofa. Ashley was talking about the wedding. Jacob didn't mind.
