It was the next week when Pvt. Lovall looked up from her work table to see Sgt. Anderson entering her area. He looked around and approached her, after saying hello to her team leader. He smiled at her, and she smiled back. This was nice. She had wondered if she would see him again. It was a large base. They might never run into each other. But here he was. "Hello, private. So, just thought I'd stop by. I was in this building to drop off some reports. How have you been? Life treating you well?" "Yes, it is sergeant. It's great. Yes, I think it's going great. She got to her apartment, changed quickly, left a note for Molly that she was going out, and headed to the restaurant. Both soldiers were surprised how well the evening went. They ate a good meal, and stayed on talking until it was late, drinking cups of tea. It didn't seem to matter what they talked about. It was just pleasant to share their time together. Within minutes of sitting down they had been calling each other Ashley and Jacob. By the end of the evening they were like old friends. Finally, Jacob said they needed to head out.
