... erotica with our bodies rubbing up and against each other to the beat of the music. Our eyes remained locked on each other and our mouths often came within inches of searing together; but they never did. It was just past one o’clock in the morning when the birthday party finally broke up. You would think that after four fuzzy navels and a shot of Jägermeister that I would be feeling pretty blitzed, but I guess all the dancing helped me sweat a lot of it out. Deanna had stopped after her second fuzzy navel and only drank club soda or bottled water for the rest of the evening. But now, we were both starving. We climbed into Deanna’s Lexus RX 350 Sport and headed for the nearest IHOP or Denny’s. Turned out, we stopped at the IHOP where I had previously waited tables. Surprisingly quiet for the “drunk o’clock” hour, Deanna and I sat in a booth, ate breakfast, drank coffee and resumed our conversation. Maybe it was the change of venue, but Deanna was now much more open about herself. Deanna Elizabeth Brady was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 17, 1970. An only child, her father had an engineering degree from Purdue University and was in the oil industry while her mother was an elementary school teacher with a degree in education from Indiana University. By age seven, she was flying the plane completely on her own with her grandfather proudly supervising beside her. As her father’s career advanced in oil exploration, the Brady family moved to Fairbanks, Alaska when Deanna was eight. There she continued her pursuit of the sky with her father, who was also a licensed private pilot. And given the fact that there are so many opportunities for private flight in the Alaskan outback, Deanna ultimately took her first solo flight at the age of nine. She had logged hundreds of flight hours in a single engine aircraft before earning both her private pilot’s license and her instrument rating certification at the age of sixteen. After which, she accumulated hundreds more flight hours as a bush pilot. She earned her multi-engine aircraft certification at age seventeen and began working toward her jet aircraft certification at age eighteen meanwhile flying jets with instructors. Combined with her exceptional piloting skills and passion for flying, Deanna was also a straight “A” honor roll student throughout her entire academic career and served as her high school class valedictorian in 1988. And it was her father’s dealings and connections with the ...
