... Amy and the work she had done to try and bring out Amy’s full potential. Also that how her father’s death had so inhibited Amy’s growth and how she tried so hard to coax her out of her cocoon of grief and denial. Amy shot her mother the finger as she followed her and Victoria into the house. As promised earlier, Victoria whipped up now three chilled Beefeater martinis straight up at the elaborate bar in the great room of the home and the three women toasted Amy’s success. Donna kissed Amy on the cheek and squeezed her tightly with one arm while Amy had to fight the revulsion within her as well as the urge to slap the bitch. As Amy took her very first ever sip of a martini, she again found herself in a fight. Only this time it was to keep from spitting the foul tasting liquid out of her mouth. However, as she peered over the rim of the martini glass, she could see her mother sizing Victoria up with a look of deep seduction in her eyes. If there was one thing Amy Sullivan knew for absolute certainty about Victoria Richardson, it’s that she was straighter than straight can be. After a second martini and then a big glass of red wine with the dinner that her mother “suddenly” whipped up, Amy was feeling really ditzy and could hardly keep her eyes open. As Victoria seemed to be falling deeper and deeper under Donna’s charismatic spell, Amy realized that this was no longer a three way conversation. As if it ever had been to begin with. Saying her goodnights and enduring another phony display of motherly affection from Donna, Amy then left her and Victoria sitting at the dining room table as she staggered up the stairs to her bedroom where she promptly passed out. Between two very strong martinis and now sipping her third glass of wine, Victoria was indeed completely hypnotized by Donna Sullivan’s irresistible charm. Not to mention her stunning beauty. Victoria simply could not fathom why Amy had such a distaste for her mother ...
