Claire had always been fundamentally submissive, so long as her submission procured vaginal sex. If not, yes, she'd crash the gates of hell to obtain it. But all he'd done was provide the psychological, emotional and physical environment needed to uncouple her libido from its overwhelming vaginal expression. Her libido was and always would be abnormally robust. All he'd done was normalize her innate submissive tendencies and encourage wider distribution of her libido's formerly narrow focus on vaginal orgasm. So, in Richard's estimation, here was the principal question. In all the comparatively parched landscape of Claire's overly focused libido, were Claire's submissive and masochistic urges the most suitable beneficiaries of all that liberated libidinous juice? Here Richard had to admit to some willful, well, 'incuriousness' as to other potentials. He'd wanted what he wanted. Richard sighed.Enough! As Popeye says, "I yams what I yams.' And what's done is done. At the end of the day who's to say that I am responsible for Claire becoming a sex slave to Jim? If that's what she elects to do. And if I agree. Richard tried to have few illusions about the extent of his Mastery, of his wife, of the novices he trained. About Claire. But this he knew: if he stood against Jim, Claire would not rebel against him. Someday perhaps. And only if he chose to permit the space for such rebellion. At the moment? He was undecided. But he knew with certainty that, for now, Claire was utterly under his sway and would do nothing to scotch the prospect of becoming his property.
