I’m not mad at you, just disappointed overall,To see our relationship more than stumble but fall,Thirty-eight years old, and I thought, “This was it,”Only to be disproven on some bullshit.

Lost and confused, I should’ve known better,Thought we were locked, like a forecast of weather,Bad? Nah, good, sunny and bright,Sad? Blah mood, bummy and tight.

The two-year mark we missed barely by a month,Now all I feel when I swallow is a lump,How could I be so stupid? I thought this was forever,But I’m directionless ‘cause we’re no longer together.

“More fish in the sea” is how the crummy phrase goes,But truth be told, I say, “No,” to those goddamn hoes,So single it is, not paired up is the current deal,Time for me to step back, get jacked and somehow… heal.
