Just then, a gentleman who looked to be in his late sixties stood up from a chair in a dimly lit corner of the room. No one has noticed him before this. He said, "I'd like to welcome all of you to my home as candidates for the Solemn Fellowship. Please enjoy this evening." As he passed around the room shaking each person's hand, I realized that he was Gerald, and he had to be at least eighty years old.
