... wall behind him.
I smiled as I looked at the wall, I pointed at a General, "you're next." I could hear him, and a good number of people started to yell to increase the shield. Then they were screaming that the door wouldn't open, then they were all gasping as the air left the room.
I felt what felt like a light touch on my shoulder. I turned, coming face to face with the Bellon we had befriended.
"This is not going to help you," the being said. "You have the thoughts in your mind, no matter how many you destroy there are many to take their place. Let's reset back, shall we?"
A moment later, we were standing within my home, Tom and the other two there with me. My daughters were staring at us, then the Bellon.
"What...! Who are you?" My daughters managed to get out, their mouths agape.
I concentrated trying my damnest to remember the being's name. "This was our host, the Bellon that contacted me."
All three of my old group were staring at him, then they all slightly bowed. "It was an honor to aid your people," Tom said.
"You three, well four," he added, looking at me. "Are the start of the advancement of your race." Turning, he looked at my daughters, "these two are the first of the truly advanced. Know, we were surprised when all of this advanced to the point it is now. I am afraid though, that there is still a lot to do,". Here he turned to me, then lightly touched my forehead. "That should help," then vanished.
At first it only hurt, then it felt ...
... like a drill bit was going through my brain.
I awoke a few moments later on my couch, "shit that packed a wallop," I said. I looked at the five people in front of me with worried looks on their faces. "As of this moment, we are at war. There are races out there that are worse than the Fletecons, though they were severely outnumbered."
"Worse? What can be worse than taking a body killing the host?" Andy asked.
I just stared at him a moment, "believe me, there are some far greater out there. Many want slaves to do the work and they do not care just how many they kill to achieve their goals. To them we are a much lesser race, much like insects are to us. We are what they consider us to them."
I could see the shock on the others' faces, then I saw a bit of anger there. "Are we strong enough?" John asked.
I looked at all of them, with what I had added, my old team were indeed almost twice as strong. That was good, though nowhere as strong as my daughters.
From what the Bellon had shown me, I was the only one that could withstand almost all of the enemy races out there. My daughters were strong, though there were a few that they wouldn't stand a chance against. Even strengthening them twice as much, my old team had no freakin' chance at all. I mean they could fight, though they'd be overcome in no time.
I shook my head, yup. I definitely had my work cut out for me. I took a look up, then reached out, feeling the weakening shield I had put up before. As it was ...
