Evelyn shrugged as she cranked the knob, sending a small burst of cool air into the car and creating even more masking noise. Alexis leaned back into Riley, whispering even more quietly.

"Good thinking. Now she won't hear the sound of you choking." Riley cut her off with a playful middle finger, his arms folded as his brilliant green eyes pierced through his eyeshadow, indicating he still had no intention of giving her what she wanted.
