The Island Life Pt. 01

Everyone likes a vacation, that was the concept of our island location. A group of investors had joined with me to purchase an island and create an adult-themed escape, offering guests a variety of venues to fulfill their dream vacation plans.

Under construction for five years, this weekend would hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and we would begin to generate funds to repay the billions we had invested. Located 21 miles off the mainland, we constructed a tunnel with two light link rails to get people and supplies to the island. No gas-powered vehicles were allowed on the island; everything was by electric transportation. Using solar and wind power, we also had a power line and water running out through the tunnel. We had built a sewage treatment plant on the island.

The island had a downtown, two 100-unit hotels, three 20-unit motels, and 3 three-story, male, female, and unisex play buildings. There are plenty of recreational opportunities, including a ropes course, zip lines, and more to discover. In addition, there was a dock for a cruise ship, an adult-only line, which would make us a port of call each week for an overnight stay, and the far end of the island had a 100-unit all-inclusive resort with a nude beach and amenities.

We also had a large apartment complex to house the employees at a hugely discounted price to stay on the island. They would be given a pass to live on the mainland, though almost everyone chose island life.

The investors were private ...

... except for me, Mark Hackler. Their involvement was financial, with a double investment return, and then they were out, eventually leaving me the sole owner.

So much for the background. We will learn more about the island as we advance through the adventure. Ultimately, the island is about sex and relaxation, heavy on sex, and we will learn of couples who come and enjoy their sexualities and some who choose to share their bedtime pleasures with us on film and our subscription-based website.

Dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts, no sock sandals, I walk down to the tunnel station to greet the arriving guests and the ribbon cutting ceremony allowing them on the island.

"Welcome, everyone," I said as they exited the train. "We have a map of the island on the board behind me so you can find directions to their destination. We hope you visit many shops downtown, and of course, spend your money. You will find directions to your lodging if you are staying over; the tram to the resort is to my left. If you tag your luggage for the resort, it will be delivered there or to the hotel or motel of your stay. Our staff all have name badges; if you have questions, ask. With that, I cut the ribbon and welcome you."

Today, we sold tickets for four trains and added a fifth. The trains took to load, travel, and unload about 30 minutes; they were rapid light rail trains. Each train carried 200 passengers; we had a busy day ahead. We also had a nude beach at this end of the island ...
