"How much do you know about this project?" she asked.

"Nothing," I replied. "Alicia has refused to discuss it with me."

Wendy looked delighted at that and smiled at Alicia.

"It's based on a best-selling book from the 90s. The drama is going to be about a young couple. They have known each other since junior school and will start with their courtship, getting engaged and planning their lives together. The young woman then gets very ill and shows the dramatic impact this has on them both. It will be hard-hitting and very intense and will be emotionally demanding to watch and perform."

"Wow," I replied. "Sounds challenging! I appreciate your confidence in my ability. It sounds like a great project."

We discussed the timing and location of when and where they planned to do the shoot, which slotted in with my work placement completion and year four starting. I also checked if I could have a week off in late August for the Judo World Championships in Chelyabinsk, a place I'd never heard of in Russia. The talks carried on for two hours before concluding. Wendy was going to send the contract to Emily to check, and for me to sign, so we shook hands and departed.

Emily was staying at our house for the night before flying back to France, so the three of us caught the tram home. Over dinner that night, Emily updated us on how 'Justine' was doing, which was even better than forecast and information on other projects that might be coming up in a few years. ...

... I was pleased to have Emily as my agent now; she had been a friend before becoming my agent, so we already had a good relationship. The fact I had saved her daughter's life only enhanced the bond, so I knew she would always look out for me professionally.

The following Sunday, Mollie and Wendy joined us again for our roast dinner. I had received the contract from Emily and signed it, so I gave a copy directly to Wendy. Over dinner, Wendy updated us on the project. They had secured the lead actress. Her name was Lily James, but I hadn't heard of her. The girls all had, though. She was in Downton Abbey, a show they all avidly watched and I tolerated, but when they explained which character she was, I could immediately picture her.

The next few months passed uneventfully. We still went to our ballroom lessons once a week, and Alicia and I went to jujitsu together and attained our brown belts. I continued judo and taekwondo once or twice a week. That, plus gym, weekend excursions, and the occasional night out, meant the time flew by.

We finished our placements in mid-May and flew to Italy for a week's holiday at a Tuscan villa. I hired a car, and we went on excursions to Piza, Florence and Sienna, all beautiful cities. Between our trips to those cities, we also visited the local villages and lazed around the pool.
