She intended just to send a quick reply to her brother-in-law, but she was instead shocked by the image on his screen.

It was a pornographic movie. She knew her husband wasn't averse to sometimes viewing such material, but the particular subject of the movie is what shocked her. As the water turned off, Sini hurriedly put her husband's phone back and changed to go to bed.

"So how was the Kokko?" he asked offhand.

"It was fun. I hadn't been to one in ages," Sini answered.

"Was Arja's lover boy there?"

"I saw your phone," Sini blurted out, unable to contain herself.

Jari paused and studied his wife. "I don't know what you mean."

"I mean, I picked up your phone to answer a text that came in, but I saw what you were watching before you showered."

Jari was taken aback. "Did it disgust you," he said defensively.

"No, I mean, I don't know. Is that something you like?"

"You seem fascinated by Arja's boyfriend," Jari commented. "You're attracted to him, aren't you?"

"What the hell are we both doing, Jari?" Sini cried in exasperation.

"It's mad, isn't it?" Jari sighed as he sat down on the bed.

"You've got every reason in the world to be furious with me right now," Sini admitted.

"And yet I'm not. What have you done with him?"

"Nothing," Sini replied.

"Would you if he asked?"

"I don't know," Sini answered truthfully.

Jari looked down. Then he reached to the switch and turned off the light. "It's late. We should go to bed," he concluded.

Sini slept in on Sunday morning. When she woke up, she had a text from Jari on her phone saying he went to go hiking in the Laplands.
