"Well when you see boss man Drew tell him his mother and father have been invited to a barbecue tonight. They will be here at six but I will entertain them until you guys get home. I'll do salad and I'm sure Evelyn will help me prepare some side dishes. You and Drew are in charge of the meat," Tess told him. Dave finished off the roasted lamb and salad from last night. He had a long drink of water then held Tess and kissed her lovingly. "I'd like to take the rest of the day off and have my way with you," he said, "But I'm a working man now, I have to answer to people." Tess slapped his arm playfully. "Off you go! I am supposed to be working too you know. I keep getting distracted, even without you in the house," Tess rebuked him. "We'll see you this evening then," he said and stepped through the back door into the heat of the late spring day.
