The Queens Secret (Chapter 01: Glorious Return)

The sun dipped below the horizon as Queen Seraphina's triumphant return echoed through the stone-paved streets of her queendom. The air was filled with the intoxicating blend of victory and celebration, citizens lining the thoroughfares, cheering and throwing petals in jubilation. Her armor clinked with each step her horse took, the rhythmic sound harmonizing with the heartbeat of her empire. Her small army of skilled swordsman, archers and mages. The queen smiled as she looked out at the crowd, waving at them, returning her love of the queendom and its people. Her army followed behind her as the victory parade made its way to the center of queendom.

As they reached the grand gates of the palace, the massive doors creaked open, revealing the opulent interior that awaited them. The courtiers, adorned in rich fabrics and vibrant colors, bowed in reverence, a sea of adoration unfolding before her. Queen Seraphina acknowledged their fealty with a regal nod, her gaze unwavering and commanding. They walked until they were close to the center and stopped. The cheering soon died down as the queen turned around to address her army.

"Noble warriors of the queendom, for the past few days you have demonstrated unwavering courage and loyalty to the crown, along with an indomitable spirit on the battlefield. If it were not for you all we may all be in cages or worse, hanging at the gallows like the previous army. Yet here we stand, ...

... victorious as conquerors of the Moonshade Kin! For now, you shall rest, mend your wounds, take aid from the healers and let them attend to your needs and let the bards soothe your mind and bodies with their music. Tonight, as the stars illuminate the sky, the palace shall hold a feast! We will revel in our victory and in the spoils of war. I extend you an invitation to join us for a night that you shall never forget. Long live Enchantara!"

The crowd burst into cheers as the warriors laughed and cheered for their queen. Bards gathered and played music as healers entered from the sides, taking the warriors with them to the infirmary and deal with their wounds. The queen waved everyone goodbye, smiling as she walked towards her private chambers. But before she could she was stopped by the healers who insisted she needed aid. Despite her protest they took her to the queen's infirmary and dealt with her wounds. The royal advisor, Dominara, soon entered as she was resting to discuss the matters that had not been dealt with due to the war. Queen Seraphina huffed as she spent the rest of the day within the infirmary going through the issues of the kingdom, and planning details for the future of the queendom.

Later in the night, inside the palace, the grand hall echoed with the cheers of the assembled nobles, musicians playing triumphant melodies to honor the queen's victorious return. The tables were adorned with sumptuous feasts and goblets brimming with the finest wines. The ...
