Sometimes on a weekend both Mum and Nancy would join us in the bath and they would natter away while us kids sat on their laps and played, Darcy was Mums favorite so if she was home and she got hurt or upset she would run to mum, I would run to Nancy even if she was next door.

Nancy left a wheelchair at our place as well as hers as her attacks were sudden and unpredictable, she was in pain for several hours at first but that eased and a couple of days later as suddenly as it started she could walk again, our unique bond was that I would be playing and suddenly get up and walk over to Nancy, wrap my arms around her leg if she was standing and just whimper, they learned quickly that within a couple of minutes or so she would get the twinges starting and had to quickly sit in her wheelchair before her legs gave way and the pain washed over her.

She spent a lot of time getting tests done but they could find no causes or triggers and apart from the pain and legs giving way she was quite normal in these situations.

Whenever one of us kids got hurt or upset Nancy would sit us sideways on her lap and cuddle us to her breast while stroking our hip and outer thigh until we calmed down, I was breast fed and naturally tried to suckle and wouldn’t calm down until I did, eventually Mum and Nancy gave up trying to stop me and it became natural with Nancy although it eased off as I got older.

... morning, not long after Nancy had collapsed into her wheelchair, Mum had accidentally knocked me over while looking after Nancy and I cried then jumped into Nancy’s lap, as she had her thin nightdress on it was simple for me to reach her boob and I started to suckle, a few minutes later I had calmed down and gone to sleep so Nancy took me to my bed then walked back into the kitchen to find Mum staring at her in shock … it was only then that Nancy realised her paralysis and pain had passed.

Mum, Nancy and Bob talked about if that somehow triggered her recovery as her affliction seemed to be a mental thing

The next time it happened one Saturday afternoon I was clinging to Nancy’s leg so Mum grabbed the chair for her and suggested to try it again, The pain and paralysis hit so Mum put me on her lap and coaxed her into trying, She cuddled me to her breast but it didn’t work so Mum talked her into getting me to suckle then had to help Nancy partially undress to bare a breast, within a minute the pain passed and soon after the feeling came back to her legs.

Nancy tried it with Bob and even though it took about 30 minutes with him it did work so they organised more tests with no outcome other to suggest she have a baby and see if that actually fixed her for good.

More tests were done and apparently Bobs sperm count was low but not impossible so they kept on trying for years. Occasionally I would suckle her to fix her but mostly it was only when I was upset and as her ...
