Melody turned to Charlie. "Go out and sit in the conservatory where we can keep an eye on you Charlie." She said firmly. "Shut the door behind you. You're not to come back in here until we've decided how we're going to handle things."

The conservatory was adjacent to the living room, with big glass insulated doors. Charlie was perfectly visible to his sisters as he sat in the dark in shame and guilt. They had been going at it for well over an hour. Charlie couldn't hear what they were saying through the insulated doors, but he could see how they were acting. At first they had seemed to be arguing, with Karen in particular angrily and repeatedly getting to her feet while pointing at him and shouting. But they all seemed to have calmed down a bit now and were discussing things quietly, although one of them would still occasionally throw a disgusted look in his direction.

"Charlie, you have to know that what Meiko caught you doing was wrong. You were abusing yourself and you shouldn't be doing that." Melody said quietly. "But it's going to be okay. We're going to help you Charlie." She continued as the others looked at him silently. "You see, you're suffering from a sickness. An addiction. A disease of the mind. We want to save you Charlie. Save you from yourself."

Melody looked at him with a determined expression. "We've come up with a program to help you. A new kind of lifestyle that we're all going to be following." she continued, staring at him unflinchingly with her piercing green eyes.
