... sniffed at Penny's shiny lips. "Penny, what... What is that?"

"That's OK," Yumiko reassured her.

Rin's confused face bounced between them. "What do you mean? Hello? What's going on?"

"It's nothing," Yumiko replied adamantly as if Rin should drop it.

And for a few, wonderful moments, everything seemed alright to Penny. She set her arms around Yumiko's shoulders, traced her fingers along her long neck, and stared enthusiastically into her friend's black eyes.
