J: "Actually I wanted to ask you about Ben."

I froze. What did Jen know? Did Ben tell her what he said to me when he came? Could I spill the beans and tell my BFF that Ben said he loved me? This was all so confusing. Dammit Ben! Why did you have to complicate things! I decided to play dumb and see where the conversation went.

"Sure," I said.

J: "He couldn't get it up for me tonight."

Me: "No way, really? Has that ever happened before?"

J: "Nope."

Me: "Maybe he was just tired."

J: "That was his excuse. Did he say anything to you last night?"

"Not really," I lied.

J: "But that was weird though, right? It's not just in my head."

Me: "Which part? Ted fucked you and Ben fucked me, just like we agreed."

J: "Don't play dumb, you know what I mean. It was How he did it."

I went into defensive mode, "Yeah, I mean it was a little different, but I wouldn't worry about it. He loves you and I love Ted. It was just sex, that's what I told Ted when he brought it up." J: "Oh so Ted noticed too."

... my best to convince her nothing was going on, I said, "Seriously, don't worry about it. It's nothing. I bet tomorrow you'll be able to get Ben hard and he'll fuck the shit out of you! Don't give last night a second thought."

J: "Thanks. I knew talking to you would help."

Me: "Happy you feel better."

J: "I'm gonna try to go to sleep now. Lunch tomorrow?"

Me: "Absolutely."

I hung up the phone and tried to pick up my TV show where it left off. Just as I put my phone down it buzzed. I looked down and there was a text from Ben.

"You up? I need to talk to you."

Questions for my readers: I thought it might be fun to throw a little conflict in by introducing a possible love triangle (or I guess it's a quadrangle).

Do you think it's a good idea to throw a wrench in their otherwise perfect lives? That could lead to many more scenarios with these characters.

Or I could just end on a cliffhanger and come up with a new idea for the next series.
