Rough-housing, playing sports, and climbing trees were the kind of activities she preferred to partake in, much to her parents' chagrin.

This continued into high school, where theyalso didn't approve of her academic expertise; her foster mother and father believed that a woman should be demure and lady-like, and seek a strong, successful husband to take care of her. For this reason they didn't care for Mike either, believing him to be weak and not driven enough to properly date their daughter - and in that regard Andrea believed thatthey could go and fuck themselves!
