... what I said before") he told her, trying to repair the rift between them. "Vil du snakke om dette når du kommer tilbake?" ("Do...do you want to talk about this when you get back?") he asked. She nodded and was about to leave when she turned and gave him a brief kiss on the cheek. "Ser deg," ("See you,") she said automatically, her words devoid of her usual love and tenderness. Collecting her bags, she made her way to her waiting car. Placing her travel bag in the trunk, she climbed into the driver's seat and fastened her seatbelt. As she started her car, her phone connected with the sound system and the soulful strains of Dusty Springfield started to play from the speakers. Her songs had been favorites of Sigrid's father when she was growing up and, despite being from a different generation, she'd always enjoyed the soulful, stirring music. "When I said I needed you, You said you would always stay, It wasn't me who changed but you and now you've gone away," Her eyes fixed on the road, she made her way to the airport in silence. ***** Sigrid stood at the door of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, a welcoming smile gracing her lips as passengers began to board the aircraft. "Good to see you again, Sigrid," Marcus replied with a charming smile, glancing briefly at her nametag to confirm her name. "Looks like we're flying together once more." Sigrid nodded, gesturing towards the spacious cabin as Marcus made his way to his seat. "Please, make yourself comfortable. If you need anything during the flight, don't hesitate to let me know." With Marcus settled in his seat, Sigrid turned her attention to the rest of the passengers, ensuring everyone was safely seated and ready for departure. Meanwhile, the flight deck crew conducted their pre-flight checks, communicating with air traffic control and finalizing the flight plan for the journey ahead. The PA system buzzed. "Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon, this is your Captain, Sven Jorgensen, speaking. On behalf of the entire crew, welcome aboard Air Nordland flight 249 bound for New York. We are currently finalizing our pre-flight preparations and anticipate an on-time departure. Our flight plan indicates a smooth journey ahead, with favorable ...
