... in the cozy confines of the restaurant.

As the group began to break up, some of the crew members expressing their desire to head back to the hotel while others opted to continue the festivities elsewhere, Marcus turned to Sigrid with a playful grin.

"Hey, Sigi," he said, his voice low and inviting. "How about we continue this conversation over a nightcap? There's a small bar next door that looks promising."

Sigrid hesitated for a moment, her mind racing with conflicting emotions. She knew she should probably call it a night, but there was something about Marcus that drew her in, a magnetic pull that she couldn't resist.

"Sure, why not?" she replied, a hint of excitement in her voice as she rose from her seat, Marcus following suit.

The bar next door was dimly lit and intimate, with soft jazz music playing in the background and a cozy atmosphere that invited conversation. Sigrid and Marcus found themselves tucked away in a secluded corner; their chairs drawn close together as they delved into deep conversation.

... fears with a vulnerability that took her by surprise. And as they laughed and talked long into the night, she couldn't shake the feeling that perhaps this chance encounter was more than just a fleeting moment in time, but the beginning of something truly special.

Marcus and Sigrid stood on the footpath in front of her hotel. It had been an incredible evening for Sigrid, the feelings of frustration, tension, and anxiety that she had been feeling for months had evaporated. Marcus had proven to be a good listener, letting her pour her heart out about not just the difficulties in her marriage, but the friction she had with her parents and her desire to live her own life, not be bound by other's expectations.

For her part, she'd learnt a great deal about Marcus as an individual. He certainly didn't fit the tech bro image, being tall with a lean, dark body. But it was his dark eyes that captured her attention. They sparkled with an intensity she hadn't seen before. She could feel his inner confidence, his determination to tackle all the challenges in his life. She found it a refreshing and intriguing mix.

"Thank you for a wonderful evening" she said, almost nervously as they stood there. "And thank you for walking me back here."

He gave her a warm smile. "It's my pleasure, Sigi. It was a great night...although I think some of your colleagues might be feeling it in the morning!"

She gave a little laugh. "Yeah, I think so...and I have to fly with them ...
