... 'cept he's got hair, and a beard, and muscles, and those eyes...."

I cut her off, "As I told you before, his heart belongs to a young Irish lass he met online. After our talk tonight, he is going to go off to search for her."

"If he can't find her, then maybe I can steal him away, just like I stole you away from Orla's spirit, God bless her soul, and finally got ye to start livin' agin."

I said, "I told Johnny the story about how I came from Ireland to America to search for Orla."

"Sound like ye story worked. Well, I can't stay here all night listening to yer yap. Someone's got to look after our pub."

Millie walked away and gracefully and lithely moved through the pub checking on our patrons. She moved smoothly, a lot like Orla. I thought about telling Johnny the full story about Millie, but it would have been a distraction for him. Millie had gotten a student visa in Ireland so that she could attend Boston University. However, she couldn't handle the academic rigor and dropped out. But she didn't want to go back to Ireland. She came to the Lucky Leprechaun looking for a job as a waitress. I remembered Big Sean lending me a helping hand, so I hired her right away.

She was a perfect fit for an Irish pub, stunningly beautiful, fluent in both English and Gaelic, and possessed a personality that charmed everyone lucky enough to be near her. She was also a hard worker and quick learner and kept asking questions about how I was running the pub. As we worked ...
... together, the impossible happened. She kissed me. Not a 'thank you old man' kiss, but a kiss of passion. When our lips separated, out of nowhere she winked at me. Millie had never done that before, and it was something Orla used to do. I took it as a sign from Orla that she was giving me her blessing, so I kissed Millie back. Our May-December romance blossomed, despite a twenty-five year difference in ages, and not long after we got married. Millie had accepted the fact that I would never stop loving Orla, but she also knows that I love her too.

I nursed my Guinness until closing time, then watched as Millie chased everyone out. A few patrons passed by and wished me well as they left, until finally Millie and I were alone. Millie locked up, then opened the cash register and placed tonight's money into a safe beneath the bar.

Millie turned off the house lights and came over to me. "Ye look tired. I'll clean things up in the mornin'. Let's get ye up to bed".

As she moved behind the bar and went to unplug the flashing green Shamrock lights, I yelled out, "Wait! Come and hold me." Millie did as I asked and while we hugged, she rested her head on my shoulder.

Millie asked, "Are ye be feelin' alright?"

I looked deep into her brown eyes, then kissed her. I could smell a few nips of good Irish Whiskey on her breath and I tasted it on her tongue.

"Orla's spirit came to me tonight. I saw her right here at this ...
