... throat, "I said I need a pregnancy test," he said with as much confidence as he could muster.

"No problem," Rachel responded, although she couldn't help but hide a little smirk before turning to the wall behind her, where there were a variety of tests on display. "Do you know what brand you want?"

"Erm, no, not really, I've never had to get one before," Daniel admitted shyly.

"That's okay," Rachel replied, "I'd recommend the pregnadyne tests, they only take a few minutes to show results and are accurate within three days of a missed period, so they're basically the best that you can get without going to the doctor," she explained.

"Okay, that sounds good," Daniel replied as Rachel took a box down from the wall and placed it in a brown paper bag before ringing up the sale on the register.

"That'll be £10.50," she said cheerily, "can I offer you anything else, some condoms maybe?" she asked, another little smirk crossing her lips.

"I think it might be a bit late for that," Daniel replied cheerily, taking the joke in stride as he scanned his card on the reader and took the bag from her, once again unable to meet her gaze.

"Good luck!" she shouted after him as he headed towards the door, Daniel shaking his head and laughing to himself as he left. This was such an insane situation to be in and he still couldn't quite believe it was happening to him. He burst through the front door, startling Candy who had been sitting on the sofa waiting for him, sipping on a chamomile tea to try and calm herself down. She looked over at him anxiously. "You got it?" she asked. He answered by pulling the box out of the bag and nodding. "Okay then, I guess we better get this over with," she sighed heavily, standing up and extending her hand to him.

"Come with me?" she asked.

"Of course," Daniel replied, taking her hand as they both made their way upstairs to the bathroom. Candy went over to the sink, looking into the mirror before opening the packaging and pulling out one of the tests. Daniel picked up the instructions and handed them to her. She took a moment to read them before pulling the cap off the business end of the test.

"You ready?" she asked nervously.

"Yeah Candy, let's do this," he said, giving her hand an encouraging squeeze. Candy walked over to the toilet, pulling down her trousers and kicking them off, before pulling her white panties down around her ankles and taking a seat. Putting the test between her legs, she did her best to get comfortable and started to pee on the stick, the sound of her urine hitting the water filling the bathroom as Daniel watched. When she was done, she pulled the test back out and passed it to Daniel, who took it gingerly before ...
