It was a text from Matt's younger boss.

"Jesus Matt you idiot, how are we going to pay?" asked Lori.

Lori was so annoyed as Matt spoke to the waiter. How could he be so stupid to forget his credit card on Valentines night and why was he paying when he was out with his boss who earns a lot more that Matt, were the thoughts that filled Lori's head.

The waiter returned to the table with the manager who said he understood the situation but because he didn't know Matt or Lori the restaurant couldn't take the risk of a couple not paying on a busy night like Valentines.

Lori said emotionally.

Nick and Lisa didn't look but could clearly hear everything that was said. Matt then said,

"Why didn't you bring your card Lori? You should have brought your credit card Lori and we wouldn't be in this situation."

Lori could feel tears well up as Matt tried to blame her. But when the waiter returned to ask them to vacate the table after they finish their drinks, Lori felt a river of tears race down her face. Lori then stood up and raced off to the bathroom red faced.

Lisa entered the bathroom and when to the stall where she could hear Lori crying. Lisa managed to convince Lori to open the stall door. Poor Lori looked a mess with her eyes bloodshot and mascara running down her face. Lisa reached out to put her arms around Lori and said,

"My poor girl, it can't be easy being married to that fucking idiot of a husband as I'm sure you where looking forward to this night out and now he fucked it for you."

Lori was a bit surprised at the language this older classy lady used but it made her feel a lot better knowing this lady understood how she felt at that moment. Lori then went onto to tell Lisa the whole situation with the credit card and how mad she was at Matt for trying to blame her.

Lisa brought Lori in for a hug and whispered,

"Lori it's not your fault and it's not Chris's fault, Chris took advantage of your husband because he could. Any man will take advantage of Matt because he lets it happen so don't be mad at Chris for using Matt's card."

Lisa then told her that Nick was going to pay for everybody and then Lisa said

"We're going to push the tables together so you don't have to be on your own with your idiot husband."
