I nodded, "Really." I smiled at Robbie. "I'd love to come, thanks. Sorry, but I've got to go," I indicated the other judges starting to gather. "Good luck."

I grinned and shook my head when I heard Robbie's groan in response to Frankie's not quite quiet enough, "I wished I'd known that in Rome." I was flattered, as Frankie is twelve years younger than me, and beautiful. Almost pretty, really.

I sent a quick text as I crossed the room, smiling at people in greeting.

'I've just been invited to a Halloween party at Robbie's. Maybe I'll meet someone amazing. Might even get laid.'

'I think he's letting me back in.'

'You're both going to be fine now x' I sent to reassure him.

I put my phone away, trying to wipe the daft smile off my face. Robbie had just handed us our perfect how we met legend.

An hour later, I was grinning again. On my feet and clapping with the other judges and delighted by Cam and Frankie standing, as David would say 'Gobsmacked' having received perfect scores.

I remembered the feeling. It was incredibly rare in the competition and felt like the best acknowledgement of hard work and talent. It opened a lot of doors as well.

I could see a few sponsorship deals in Frankie's future. I wasn't so sure about Cam, he had a quieter personality. But there again, I didn't actually know why he was doing the competition ...

In the end Robbie and Mia came on to lead them off, they were so shocked, and everyone grinned and congratulated them.

At least the judges were awake now as well.

I had been a little bored so far today, and I had caught both Kirsty and Amelia yawning.

Frankie and Cam's success seemed to raise everyone's game and the afternoon became more exciting.

Ending on a thrilling and super-sonic Cha-Cha from Mia and Robbie, that I was delighted to announce the second highest score on. And the highest of any Cha-Cha in the past twenty years.

I was surprised that evening to hear a gentle tap on my door, and open it to Robbie holding a glass of whiskey (David must have told him) and a cautious expression.

"Can we talk?" he asked hesitantly, and intrigued I stepped aside, motioning him in.

The next two weeks passed quickly. I made sure of it by scheduling classes and spending an inordinate amount of time in the gym.

David had patched things up with Robbie, and I had even received a welfare call from him. He had apologized for the need to keep us apart, but still felt it was for the best.

I agreed. I didn't have a problem with Robbie now he was helping David through this, instead of making it harder.

I spent hours every night talking with David. Often we would fall asleep mid-conversation, neither of us wanting to say goodbye.
