We sat side by side as she did our faces, taking it in turns to apply the different layers. When she finally finished I understood why. I stood next to Karen and looked in the mirror. It was as if I was looking at two twins, and I certainly only recognised myself because I obviously knew it was me.

Although the make-up was really far too heavy and not what I would want to ever wear in public, it really did make us both look like the hottest glamour models. I simply adored the deep black smoky eyes and the way the contouring had changed the shape of my face making it much more oval.

Then there was a script of sorts that we had to follow and pretty much everything Karen and I had to do was on some big green featureless set with some identically coloured chair things so that the background could be added later. Then there was the small matter that her friends doing the filming were Clive with George as his assistant and this did make me a bit self conscious at first as I would have preferred strangers really, but at least I knew it was all going to be kept between real friends.

I hadn't even known Clive did that sort of stuff but, as he explained, nearly everyone in film on the west coast who wasn't loaded or knew someone inside the industry had worked their way up from the porn sector or taken advantage of the directors couch. We ran on quite late as there were a lot of retakes, but by the time I felt ready to drop, it was all done. Although there had been a lot of sex, it had felt really different from the previous night, but still extremely enjoyable.
