‘You’re sick,’ Jen replied, screwing up her nose. ‘No, it appears he and his skateboard met in a most unfortunate way for a young man.’

‘Ooh,’ Alex groaned. ‘Can’t say I know how that feels, but I imagine it’s bad. Give me a minute and I’ll call him in.’
