Leo had always been one of the middle class kids at school. Not too popular nor unpopular he sat somewhere in between, but on his 15th Birthday all this began to change. It was the start of another school year. Leo sighed, he had never liked the start of them. With the rush of getting his supplies together and making sure he didn't forget anything he had always preferred the holidays or even keeping his grades up in the middle of a term. It was 6:00 in the morning, and he had 1 hour to kill before school started. With a great heave of his chest he hopped out of his bed, dressed and walked down out onto the street. The sun had barely begun to rise but he knew that the Markets down the street were always open. He decided to check them out before coming back and packing his supplies. Walking through the markets he found that it was extremely busy even at this hour. He was jostled and pushed through the crowds until he found himself at the entrance of a low alleyway. No one seemed to be there except for a lone shop with a few broken down lights in front of a sign reading: Antique Shop. Curiously he walked towards this odd looking shop. There seemed to be no one in there except rows and rows of useless looking items stacked upon it's shelves. Inside it, there lay a strangely shaped device that slightly resembled a tazer, but at the end of it there was an odd arrangement of tiny speakers. The man smiled again and held up his hand. He outstretched ten of his fingers and pointed at the device again. Realizing he wanted Leo to buy it, he hurriedly shook his hands and began to walk back. Then, realizing how disappointed the man looked, he shrugged and took out ten dollars. Giving the man the money and receiving the device he was hastily ushered out of the shop. Walking back home he had much thought about that small store, and he realized he had never seen it the alleyway nor the shop at the market before. He made a mental note to come back there tomorrow. Arriving back at his home he was met with the full blast of an angry mother. In the midst of it all he could only pick words such as 'Why were not here today?', 'It's the first day of school for goodness sake!' 'Er, Mum? I've been gone for 15 minutes.' Replied Leo. 'You've been gone ALL DAY! Now get to your room before your father finds out!'. His mother was still in full swing. He gulped. How had time gone so quickly?
