... into a smirk as he gradually applied more pressure. Without hitting the third count, he gripped my arm and pulled me into the rain alongside him. I squealed as the cool droplets of water instantly began to seem through my clothes and drench my hair, following his lead as we raced through the bald streets. I glanced around the high-ceilinged room, taking in my new surroundings. The walls were bright white alongside the curtains, and teamed with the varnished wooden floor, the room had an extremely light and airy feel. It was neat, which surprised me- bar the various video games and CD cases sprawled before the front of the TV. An old vintage record player caught my eye, resting on top of a white wooden cabinet in the corner of the room. It was medium-sized and made from a rich, mahogany; lid propped open with a gold metal rod, revealing a black 12”vinyl inside. I stepped over to the player, running my fingers along the smooth wood and admiring its crafting, before flicking the power switch and carefully lowering the needle to the ready vinyl. He walked towards me, not once breaking eye contact, before passing me the clothes from underneath his arm. I took them from him, enjoying his warm closeness as his fingers grazed mine and his lips came dangerously close to my ear. “You sound surprised” he whispered softly, lingering, before pulling back and looking me straight in the eyes. This was the first time that I’d been close enough to notice the intensity of his large eyes. They were a piercing blue; frosty orbs surrounding thick black pupils that instantly made my mouth go dry. His wet hair lay flat atop his head, sticking to his skin as drops of water rolled timidly down his pale cheeks. So close. “Beautiful, isn’t it?” I gulped. “Hm?” “Adagietto. This piece of music.” His breath was hot against my cold, wet cheek as I listened carefully to each word and syllable. My heart was pounding wildly against my ribcage as heat pooled in my lower abdomen and between my legs, and for a second I forgot about the discomfort of wet clothes against my skin. “One of my favourites” I whispered, lowering my eyes to his lips; watching intently as his tongue slipped between ...
