... forgotten that the ritual needed both species in order to work at its full rate; the warlord knew exactly what it was required. Her time was running out, she knew he was going to use the power within her, if this continued she would not be able to stay conscious and they would have gotten what they came for. “Why?” She wondered as she fought the incantations power, “he knows yet he risks.” "No," she said as she began losing consciousness yet neither of them paid her attention. Images, visions, feelings swept through her mind and body as she tried to reach for her sword, she couldn't help it but to see the visions, feel the feelings, this old ritual was giving her. Forbidden by her ancestors, yet she could not fight the power of the Moon, which grew with every passing moment. She shocked when an image of a man, appeared in her mind suddenly, "Who’s him?" she thought before fear ran her veins. Unconsciously she called on her sword, which appeared on her hand, sticking it into the ground she chanted, calling power onto the spell, hoping that she succeeded before it was too late. -------------------- Honen opened his eyes to feel his kin warlord and friend's body tightly against his own as wind and power flew around the two of them, far in the background he could hear a female voice chanting something he could not understand. "Maki," Honen said with heavy breaths as the cold breeze touched him, "what happen?" The warlord sighed. "The woman," he said while looking towards the tree line where the woman was recovering herself, "I underestimated her and her abilities." "How was she able to do that?" Honen asked surprised. "I do not know, boy," Maki replied before taking a deep breath, "I find it strange that she among all people appeared." "What do you mean?" However, the warlord only shook his head and looked at Honen. “I need to think things through,” he said, “We will see each other again boy.” Honen watched as the warlord slowly disappeared before his eyes he knew that they would see each other again, when the warlord seemed right, “Warlords,” he thought, “who gets them?” -------------------- Shima lay on the ground, recovering her breath as she looked towards her sword, the white steel was broken and slowly ...
