... stay in for weekends and holidays. Then they had Drew and the beautiful farm as a bonus. She could not wait to get home and talk with Dave and Drew. June and Evelyn had known each other for many years as they both had played tennis every Saturday in summer. They now played do you remember so ands so for an hour and caught up on all the gossip of their mutual acquaintances. Tess had finished her meal and her wine. She made small talk with Lou and listened to June and Evelyn talk. She was convinced everybody in the district was related to everyone else. These elderly ladies seemed to know everyone. But Tess was restless, she wanted to go home and see Dave. He wouldn't be home yet anyway she thought. But she needed to talk to some body or she felt she would burst. Eventually Doctor Morton went inside, Tess thought to visit the lavatory. On his return, he said, "Well, ladies, it has been a lovely luncheon. I have taken care of the bill, it was my pleasure." He handed Tess his business card. "I have written my private number on the back. It would probably best if Dave rang me after hours so I can talk with him. Please get him to call." "You drive past it every time you come up to the farm. we passed it this morning, it is just before Geoff's place on the right hand side, at the end of the railway line," Evelyn laughed. "Oh is that what those big building are. Spot the city girl," Tess giggled. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone," Evelyn said to her. Tess slowed down when Evelyn told her that the silos were around the next bend in the road. As if they had planned it Dave was leaning on the fender of his truck in the shade. He was at the back of a queue of ten trucks and was chatting with a young guy who looked barely old enough to hold a drivers license. He saw Tess and Evelyn do a U-turn into the large gravel area and watched as they pulled to a halt next to his truck. "Hi honey. Hi Evelyn, love the hair," he said. Evelyn had all but forgotten her new hairstyle. "Thanks Dave," she said. "This is Geoff's cousin Billy, ...
